—————–
Bryony Williams is an emerging talent in the UK indie music scene, known for her poignant and introspective songwriting. Her work delves into themes of personal growth, mental health, relationships, and travel, capturing an authentic narrative that resonates with her audience. Alongside releasing her music independently since 2015, Bryony has also founded Grrrl Groannn, a DIY music magazine aimed at promoting gender balance within the local indie scene. In spring 2025, Bryony will be releasing her debut album, followed by a UK tour with her band, and a support slot with Lizzie Esau and Loose Articles in association with Independent Venue Week.
Bryony’s career milestones include supporting high-profile acts like Liz Lawrence, She Drew the Gun, Hazel English, and A.A. Williams, as well as celebrating the release of the 2020 EP, ‘State I’m In’, with her first UK headline tour, backed by a 4-piece band. Continuing the momentum of the tour and in collaboration with Wolves Records, the band, James, handpicked Williams to perform at their Arena Tour warm-up show at KK’s Steel Mill to represent her hometown of Wolverhampton in front of a 2000+ crowd. In 2022, Williams performed at Dot To Dot festival in Nottingham and was long-listed for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition and shortlisted for the Greenman Rising stage and YNOT? Festival.
Bryony’s music has received recognition from BBC Introducing West Midlands, which selected her single Little Tree as ‘Track of the Month’ and named her as the ‘Artist to Watch’ in 2019. Her music has also been featured on major platforms, including Selector Radio (UK and Argentina), Amazing Radio, and Tom Robinson’s Mixtape on BBC 6 Music. Over the years, Bryony’s music has featured in publications such as God Is In the TV, Record of the Day, CLASH Mag, Louder Than War, and has been compared to the likes of Courtney Barnett and Declan McKenna by Charlie Ashcroft in the ‘Pressing Matters’ column for Record Collector Magazine.
